More often than not, patients who suffer from severe tooth loss don’t realize they have more options available for tooth replacement than just traditional dentures. Full-arch restoration can restore a full arch or even a full mouth of teeth, and it’s ideal because it can last a lifetime. Dental implants are the most advantageous method for replacing missing teeth, but it can be costly and time-consuming to replace a full arch of teeth with individual implants. Full-arch restoration uses as little as four dental implants as a base, which then supports a permanent, custom-designed denture.
With full-arch restoration, patients experience all the benefits of dental implants but in a more cost-effective and efficient procedure. If a majority of your teeth are damaged or missing, we encourage you to consider full-arch restoration at our office in Rohnert Park, CA. You can call our office to schedule a consultation, during which Dr. Daniel will determine if full-arch restoration is the best solution for your needs.
What is full-arch restoration?
Full-arch restoration is the best solution for restoring many teeth at once while still providing the benefits of dental implants. The full-arch restoration system relies on the support of as little as four dental implants placed strategically in the jaw. Once the dental implants have been placed in the jaw, a permanent denture will be attached. This denture is custom designed to look and function exactly like natural teeth.
The full-arch restoration procedure is incredibly practical because it eliminates the need for several separate implant placement surgeries. Dr. Daniel can place all four dental implants at once, which also means less healing time for you. Once your permanent denture has been attached, you can eat normally and smile with confidence.
Benefits of Full-Arch Restoration
Full-arch restoration offers patients a wide range of benefits because it relies on the revolutionary technology of dental implants. Whereas removable dentures need adhesive to stay in place — and even then, they still slip often, causing discomfort and sores — a full-arch restoration is permanent, and you won’t have to worry about it falling out or needing replacement. The most common benefits of choosing to undergo full-arch restoration include
- Permanent option (won’t need to be replaced after several years of wear)
- Replaces an entire arch of teeth in one procedure
- No removable parts, which means no worry about slipping or falling out
- Prevents dental shifting
- Maintains jaw bone health and prevents bone atrophy
- Restores smile and confidence
If you are looking for a more permanent replacement option and are healthy enough to undergo a minor dental surgery, we encourage you to contact our office about full-arch restoration.
Full-Arch Restoration Procedure
Before undergoing surgery, you will visit our office in Rohnert Park, CA, for your consultation. During your consultation, Dr. Daniel will examine your mouth and jaws, take any necessary X-rays or 3D scans, and review your health history. All of these factors will help him determine if full-arch restoration is right for you and develop a detailed and personalized treatment plan. He will also discuss your options for anesthesia and provide you with instructions for your pre- and post-operative care.
When you return to the office for your surgical appointment, Dr. Daniel will administer your anesthesia so that you remain comfortable throughout the procedure. If you have any teeth remaining in the dental arch, Dr. Daniel will remove these before carefully placing as little as four dental implants into the jaw. In most situations, he will also place a temporary denture, which will allow you to smile and function while your restorative dentist is making your permanent denture.
Over the next few months, your dental implants will fuse with your jaw bone. Once the integration process is complete, your restorative dentist will attach your permanent denture to the implants. Once we have ensured that the fit is comfortable and secure, you will be able to smile confidently and use your new teeth to eat whatever you want.
